INDEPENDENT HEALTH CONCERN
STATEMENT
Having achieved so many of the initial aims of Independent Health Concern (I.H.C.) as a political movement _
•
The
retention
of
Kidderminster
Hospital
on
its
original
site
and
its
development
into
a
full
Treatment
Centre
integrated into the county’s NHS structure
•
Our
representative
Member
of
Parliament
for
Wyre
Forest
-
Dr.
Richard
Taylor
M.B.E.
F.R.C.P.
–
for
two
full
terms
(2001-2010)
•
The
amalgamation
of
a
number
of
councillors
into
a
controlling
group
leading
the
District
Council
through
a
period of unprecedented health and economic challenges
•
Giving
our
voters
the
opportunity
to
place
their
trust
in
that
Independence
of
thought
and
action
that
prevails
in
the Wyre Forest area
change had to come, inevitably.
Now
is
the
time
to
unify
the
Independent
Vote
so
that
all
such
candidates
can
fight
together
under
one
independent
banner to represent voters.
Independent
Health
Concern
will
therefore
withdraw
from
promoting
candidates
in
future
elections
-
while
still
supporting
its serving
I.H.C.
councillors as these individuals become part of a larger truly independent group.
This
is
not
done
with
a
heavy
heart;
indeed,
we
are
pleased
and
proud
of
the
trust
which
has
been
placed
in
us
by
so
many and in all that we have achieved during the past twenty-two years.
We
ask
those
who
have
been
our
supporters
for
so
long
to
give
their
local
independent
candidate
their
serious
consideration in future elections when they cast their vote.
