Bid to Fight the Fear of Witnesses

      "Criminals are going free because witnesses are too scared to give evidence",
Midland's M.P. Dr. Richard Taylor (Ind Kidderminster) has claimed.

He is supporting a campaign by the Association of Chief Police Officers calling for new laws to increase public confidence in the justice system.
In a Parliamentary motion he said ...

      "... some criminals are evading punishment because of the failure of victims and witnesses to attend court, or opting to decline to give evidence".
