Cornish Lib-Dem St Ives MP Andrew George has called on the health secretary either to blame NHS managers for overspends or take responsibility and apologise to about 300 workers at the Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust who will lose their jobs in cost-cutting moves after the trust revealed a deficit of more than £8m.

Andrew George challenges the government to say why the trust's management has gone wrong; adding that, if managers had not done wrong, the fault must lie with the government.
