District Election Successes - 2002
Quoted in the Daily Telegraph (May 4
2002),
'Hospital protestors win control of council' .. Dr. Taylor
said,
"We
have brought great awareness to the problem that there are a lot of
smaller district hospitals throughout the country that will be coming
under threat because of shortages of staff."
The party's Council Leader, Elizabeth Davies, was also quoted as
saying ..
"People
have accused us of being a flash in the pan, but it is a very long
flash ! We have served our apprenticeship and we have some
excellent councillors who will make a first-class
administration."
Cllr. Milner Whiteman's 'Letter to the Editor' in the same edition
extolled KHHC success ..
"The
ability of the Kidderminster Hospital Health concern party to win
overall majority on the Wyre Forest district council .. has
shown that support for independent and single-issue councillors in
England and Wales could well be on the increase."
