Dr. Taylor saddened by Wyre Forest PCT members. Dr. Taylor singled out the Wyre
Forest Primary Care Trust's non-executive board members as having
missed their golden opportunity to...
The Board Members have agreed to the
end of Wyre Forest's "stand-alone" Primary Care Trust. "I had hoped that the non-executives would vote against it because they have absolutely nothing to lose because, whatever happened, they are going to be disbanded !" "It was a lost opportunity for local representatives to reflect the interests of local people." "If they had voted
in favour of it, I think that some of the executives, who knew, in
their heart of hearts, its not what people want, would have stood up. "We have lost our non-executive director on the Acute Trust - when Chris. Nicholls finished, his place was taken by someone who doesn't live in Wyre Forest !" Dr. Taylor disagrees with the argument for there being a single, County-wide Primary Care Trust. 12 March 2006
