Dr. Taylor saddened by Wyre Forest PCT members.

Dr. Taylor singled out the Wyre Forest Primary Care Trust's non-executive board members as having missed their golden opportunity to...
      ... "reflect the interests of local people".

The Board Members have agreed to the end of Wyre Forest's "stand-alone" Primary Care Trust.
     Their 'Track-record'...
     Three voted to do away with Wyre Forest's PCT;
     two abstained;
     one was not present.

"I had hoped that the non-executives would vote against it because they have absolutely nothing to lose because, whatever happened, they are going to be disbanded !"

"It was a lost opportunity for local representatives to reflect the interests of local people."

"If they had voted in favour of it, I think that some of the executives, who knew, in their heart of hearts, its not what people want, would have stood up.
If one PCT had stood up against it, it would have spread throughout the country."

"We have lost our non-executive director on the Acute Trust - when Chris. Nicholls finished, his place was taken by someone who doesn't live in Wyre Forest !"

Dr. Taylor disagrees with the argument for there being a single,  County-wide Primary Care Trust.
