Labour M.P. Disrupts Worcester Hospital Routine Mike Foster (Lab. Worcester) disrupted Worcester Hospital's daily routine when he 'dropped in' unexpectedly and required to be 'shown round'. Having been given an 'ad hoc' VIP tour which lasted some hour-and-a-half, he admitted he had concerns about staffing levels and about patient capacity at the hospital. He has been quoted as saying_
Earlier, Health Minister David Lammy revealed the statistics which so worried Mike Foster; that Worcester Hospital had been placed on_ "RED ALERT" status - the Hospital was FULL, there were NO available beds - that new cases would have to be diverted and driven to other hospitals - no fewer than SEVEN TIMES in the short period between December 2002 and January 2003 !
