Emergency Health Care Facilities

at Kidderminster Hospital

Kidderminster General Hospital  The Death of Excellence

History of the Campaign

No Thanks to No Service
The Health Authority claimed that its proposal for future health provision in Kidderminster would not reduce the service.  In reality the devastating reduction in provision that took place in September 2000 meant:-

  • NO Accident and Emergency Unit

  • NO Intensive Care Unit

  • NO Operations - if you need an overnight stay

  • NO Beds - for medical patients, e.g. strokes, chest or heart problems

  • NO Beds - for mentally ill patients

  • NO Beds - for care of the elderly

  • ONLY outpatient and day case facilities remain
