Immigration
Issues
On-line Help
"I
find Immigration issues take considerable time to resolve as the
Border Agency has such a huge case-load - as well as a back-log
they are still trying to cope with." |
|
The UK
Border Agency is responsible for securing the UK borders and
controlling migration in the UK.
They manage
border control for the UK, enforcing immigration and customs
regulations.
They also
consider applications for permission to enter or stay in the UK,
and for citizenship and asylum.
The Identity
Card system is extended to sponsored skilled workers.
100,000 identity
cards for foreign nationals have been issued since they were
introduced in November 2008, and they are now being rolled out
to more categories of migrant -
starting with skilled workers who are here under the
points-based system.
